It has been very nice outside lately!  But, that causes a problem for us.  Alice wants to go on "walks" every waking minute.  Sometimes mom and dad don't feel like going outside (especially when they are both recovering from a bad cold/flu).  It was so warm yesterday that we sent her outside in her swimming suit to play in the sprinkler.  At first she didn't really like it.  But once she figured out that she could somewhat wield the water by taking a hold of the sprinkler, she was a happy camper.  Everything got watered--including our patio and a plastic table.  She had fun, and we didn't have to chase her around the neighborhood.

Alice's new favorite thing to look for when we go outside are worms.  She sees Slimey on Sesame Street and thinks he's fun.  Every time he comes on she says, "Simey!  He cute..." as she giggles.  Lately we have been doing yardwork and have found many worms.  Whenever we find them, she runs over and says, "Simey!  He cute..."  Then she watches the worm until it goes out of view and underground.  It rained a few days ago--the next day was sunny and we took a walk.  Incidentally, many worms had made their way onto the sidewalk, but never off.  Dried up worms were scattered everywhere.  Alice managed to spot each one of them and made it a point to crouch down by each one and say, "Simey!  He cute..."  Somehow it never phased her that none of them were moving.  A life lesson that will come later I guess.
