The other day Alice and I were reading an animal picture book with her cousin Will.  We were imitating the animal sounds on each page.  As we turned to the pig page, I said, "Alice, tell William what a pig says.  What does a pig say?"  Alice thought for a moment and replied, "Salutations!"  Apparently she has been getting a little too much "Charlotte's Web". 

 

Days later, Alice was sitting at the table eating lunch while I did some dishes.  She kept saying, "Poopies, poopies".  I'm thinking, what the heck?  Does she have to go the bathroom or something?  I asked her what she was talking about.  She said, "The lady on Nacho said that."  I thought for a moment and then remembered that the lady in Nacho Libre does say something that sounds like "poopies".  However, in the movie she says "puppies" with an accent.  Nice interpretation...

 

(I hesitate to share the next story because it embarrassed me)  Last weekend we were eating dinner with some friends.  While at the dinner table, Alice took a bite of steak, chewed it for a moment and spit it out.  That wasn't the really embarrassing moment.  Here it comes...pointing to the steak, she said to me, "It's dog poop."
